SR2 Futura is the result of research carried out, in continuous collaboration with transport professionals, on their ways of using equipment and their immediate and emerging needs.

Three main principles have guided this research: economy, in the light of continuous fuel price increases; durability, to reduce the operational costs of the vehicle and low temperature performance to guarantee a transport service under impeccable conditions.

Chassis, floor, capacity, insulation, rear face, maintenance, weight, road holding, endurance, etc.; each point has undergone systematic reappraisal to achieve the best possible vehicle with respect to the concrete needs of the market.

At 6800kg empty, (without cooling unit, nor option) the SR2 Futura is the lightest semi trailer on the market; so it is profitable in terms of tonnage transported or of fuel economy: A weight issue with revolutionary technical implications.

With standard fit tyres (385/65 R 22.5) and an overall height of 4m, the optimised interior dimensions (2.70 m x13.39 m) make planning for all possible loads easier and with excellent air flow.

1 - Optimized interior height 2.70m

The increase in usable height optimizes your load capacities and your versatility: transport of tall pallets, easier palletization on 2 levels
(with 385/65 R 22.5 tyres under 4m overall!).

2 - Optimized interior length (+40 mm):

The increase in usable length at last gives you the possibility of loading up to 33 pallets with bi-temperatures, i.e. 3% extra productivity, with better air flow to improve preservation of your freight.

3 - Optimized empty weight: 6,800 kg

Extremely tough, SR2 Futura is also the lightest semi trailer on the market thanks to its composite floor structure: you can load on average 600 kg extra or make significant savings on fuel.

4 - The reinforced rear chassis
with new SR2 buffers

The elastomer buffers with stainless shell enable shock to be absorbed during approach to loading bay, then slipping along the bay as the forklift enters or the use of the raiser and lower valve, using 166 mm struts, to give a strength 8 times greater than traditional protection.

5 - Protected and reinforced rear frame

The patented joint of the rear frame with double panel point hinges allows the doors to be moved away from the bay as they are opened to leave room for a steel reinforced protection device of aluminium frame (vertical post buffers, threshold buffers) considerably reducing damage due to impacts.

6 - New composite panels

The new composite panels, whose the interior side has been reinforced, know no corrosion and give exceptional resistance to impacts of over 68%
(with very durable interior aluminium kickstrip, entirely glued and without rivets to avoid tears, height: 300mm).

7 - Very easy maintenance

The polyester panels and the modular design of the chassis and the rear face enable easy and quick repair in case of accident. This means less immobilization of your equipment for less cost of repair.

8 - Optimum insulation quality

Thanks to Lamberet quality, the insulation of the bodywork is up to 16% better than the competition, guaranteeing absolute compliance with the cold chain and makes possible large savings on cooling unit maintenance, consumption and depreciation.
